CHAP. XIX. Of Gladiatory Dancing. NEither must I here omit to tell ye, that there are many other sorts of Dancing, the greatest part whereof are now laid aside, others still in use; for ex∣ample, Dancing in Arms, proper onely to Gladiators and Souldiers; a Tragical invention to kill the Inno∣cent in sport, making it a great infamy for a man to receive his deaths wound for want of Agility. A hate∣ful Invention; Folly and Impiety mix'd together. And indeed, all sorts of Dancing, as they are full of vanity and shamelesness, are not onely to be disprais'd, but utterly abominated, seeing they teach nothing but a wonderful mystery how to run mad.
